"Ashes, Blood and the Slipper of Glass"

Forest Forge's Ashputtel is an atmospheric, fast paced storytelling piece with puppets, music and magic that will enthrall audiences from five to one hundred and five. We follow poor Ashputtel as she copes with her new step sisters who have beautiful faces but ugly hearts, as she is banned from going to the ball by her stepmother but gets there anyway with the help of a magic tree and two friendly birds. We see her transformed from the grubby kitchen girl to the beautifully dressed woman who the prince falls in love with. When she flees, leaving her glass slipper behind, we will see what lengths her sisters will go to to make their feet fit the shoe. And will they get their just deserts for being so cruel to the poor girl Ashputtel?
